Drum Birthing Workshop

Birthing your own sacred drum is a very powerful, transformative experience and sacred journey, imbued with honour, intent and energy. During this full day practical hands-on workshop, you’ll be guided in the traditional way of drum making, using lacing cut from the same hide. The day will include connecting with shamanic wisdom, discussing and honouring the spirits of the animal and tree whilst you create your own unique drum. We'll finish with a shamanic journey to connect you with the spirit of the drum. You'll also be able to choose a handmade drum beater to take home. The finish time is a guide only since the workshop will continue until everyone has completed their drum.

Adminstration

The workshop includes all materials, refreshments and a light lunch. If you have any dietary requirements please let me know. Please wear comfortable casual clothing and suitable outdoor wear as the first part of the workshop includes working outside. Please bring a large towel to wrap your completed drum in, and another towel or apron to protect your clothing while working.

Limited overnight b&b accommodation is also available at Shaman's Retreat for an additional cost. Available options are listed in the ticket section and offered on a first come, first serve basis.
