Midsummer Drum Birthing & BBQ

This special event combines the crafting of your own sacred medicine tool with the celebration of the Summer Sol-stice (standing sun) - a major point on the sacred wheel of the year. We'll gather in sacred space and you'll be gently guided throughout the day as you birth your own drum. This will be followed by a BBQ supper and fire ceremony to waken the spirit of the drums. This is a great opportunity to be part of a small gathering that honours the individual and which can also provide a quantum leap into deeper shamanic awareness.

What you can expect from Midsummer Drum Birthing Experience

• Being held in sacred space. To begin, everyone will be ceremonially blessed and the medicine wheel elements will be honoured and called in to create harmonious and creative energies.
• Connecting with the energy of both the wood and the animal; each is honoured and given equal consideration. This includes being with trees outside, and giving thanks to the animal.
• Discover the myths and magic surrounding the wood and the shamanic meaning of the animal
• You'll receive gentle guidance through every step of the process, including preparation and oiling of the hoop, cutting the hide, preparing the lacing from the same hide, piercing and threading, tensioning and creating your own design.
• You'll get to choose your own drum beater from my handmade collection, using various woods and different colour heads.
• Evening ceremony to welcome your drum into the world
• Lunch and evening BBQ supper provided (if you have any specific dietary needs please get in touch)
• Overnight accommodation available if required

Booking Terms and Conditions

1. If you require overnight accommodation please select an accommodation ticket in addition to the drum birthing ticket.

2. Accommodation tickets include bed and breakfast.

3. The double room can accommodate a couple if required.

4. Participants agree that attendance and participation in this experience and all activities is undertaken completely of their own free will and at their own risk.

5. Participants agree to take full responsibility for their own physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being at all times.

6. No assurance guaranteeing specific results is being made and by booking your place on this experience you agree and accept that Diana Coldman (The Quantum Shaman) and any property owner is completely harmless of all liability throughout the retreat and activities.

7. Activities includes being outside in nature and participants agree to take full responsibility for any and all decision to take part in any activity and approach and are expected to wear suitable clothing for the time of year/weather conditions

8.Under data protection, participants acknowledge and agree that details may be kept in written form as well as contact by email and/or phone along with any handmade notes made during sessions, for a period of no more than 24 months as part of Continual Professional Development (CPD).

9. All bookings include a 50% non refundable deposit and no refunds are available within 28 days of the retreat.

10. All outdoor activities are in the hands of the weather spirits and cannot be guaranteed
